A lifelong resident of Central Virginia, Chris literally grew up in the real estate business learning from his father, Robert G. Gentry, several facets of the business including real estate appraisal, development, construction and brokerage practices. With over 15 years in the brokerage business, Chris has completed sales and lease transactions for local businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. Prior to his brokerage experience, Chris worked for several years with his father focusing on real estate valuation, where he learned the key fundamentals to valuing real estate, which has become an invaluable asset to his clients. Chris’ involvement in site selection/acquisition has included clients such as Home Depot, Walmart and Walgreens, to name a few. Chris also has firsthand experience in real estate development and build-to-suit assignments for numerous medical and institutional clients.
Due to his knowledge of the market, strict adherence to ethics, and his philosophy of always putting the client first, Chris has garnered the respect of the brokerage community and proudly handles assignments from outside brokerage companies that trust Chris enough to help them handle assignments for their clients. Referrals and co-brokerage assignments have been handled for numerous large real estate companies such as Grubb & Ellis, Studley, DAUM Commercial Real Estate, Equis, Cushman & Wakefield, Thalhimer, and Gramercy Capital Corp., to name a few.
Completed brokerage assignments include multi-family sales/site selection/acquisition, hotel/motel site selection/acquisition, retail site selection/acquisition, industrial building sales/acquisitions, development land sales, and office building sales/site selection/acquisition.
